Wood Never Looked So Beautiful

I am joyful to say that our new home now has walls! Friday we had seven contractors come from Georgia to see through the framing of our house.

Before
After

Trusses arrive Wednesday; although a glitch has shown up in the progress. We discovered the basement foundation wall underground is bowed in from the tornado. The force of the F-5 shook the foundation so much, that if it had continued double the time it did, the basement roof would have most likely collapsed on top of us. So we are going to move ahead with the repair of that. Hopefully it will not detain our progress for long.

It is encouraging to see my grandparent's property buildings start going back up the way they were. Between volunteers and a construction crew called Extreme Ministries my grandfather's all purpose shop was up in about three weeks.

My family and I are holding up very well in our cozy cabin. Mom and dad have both had eye problems and have had to both get glasses but are now doing fine. Schedules have gone out the window as we are trying to find our new normal. Prayers would be welcome that we would continue to be patient and content in these final stages of restoring our home

God's amazing providence through these pasts months is still seen daily. The people that reach out, that drop jobs and leave their families and just pour out blessings on us is so profound. Thanks to everyone so much for prayers and giving.

I will be sure to post on the house progress when we re-assume construction.

Leaning on the Everlasting Arms.

What a fellowship, what joy divine, Leaning on the everlasting arms; What a blessedness, what a peace is mine, Leaning on the everlasting arms.
O, how sweet to walk in this pilgrim way, Leaning on the everlasting arms; O, how bright the path grows from day to day, Leaning on the everlasting arms.
What have I to dread, what have I to fear, Leaning on the everlasting arms? I have blessed peace with my Lord so near, Leaning on the everlasting arms.
Chorus.

I am so sorry to hear about your family's home. It is beautiful to see that God has protected your family, though, and to see what He is doing in your life.
