The Inevitable Scraped Knee
If any of you have boys the bloody knee is almost inevitable. While putting a band-aid on it kept it clean and infection free, it would not heal for days. Recently I discovered Slippery Elm Bark powder. After cleaning the area with cool water, dripping it from a wet cloth works well, sprinkle the Slippery Elm Bark on the offending area and let set for 10-20 minutes. Band-aid it and watch it heal. Knox, my little friend, fell on the sidewalk two days ago, his mom used Slippery Elm Bark, he kept the band-aid on over night and sure enough today his knee is healing splendidly... without a band-aid.
