The Recipe for Happiness

Happiness, the desire of man,

sadness, grief, sin, the curse of all.

How do the chosen find happiness?

In desperate times we fall,

our happiness hinges,

on His loving call,

to those who know Him 

and follow His law.

His pleasure our chief joy,

His anger our dismay,

tis not Him who needs us,

but we that at His mercy lay, 

all that seek joy

all that seek happiness 

all the seek comfort

come and our God bless.

Seek the Giver of happiness

and you will find,

that your joy will run over 

and peace will fill your mind.
